IIT Architecture Tour

Dear All,

Welcome back to school! To those who are not yet in Hyde Park, I hope you are having a nice break.

I'm writing to invite you to attend the annual architecture tour held by TSA of IIT (Illinois Institute of Technology), which is coming up on Saturday, October 1. If you're new to Chicago, you definitely don't want to miss the chance of exploring those magnificent architectures with these knowledgeable docents. If you have attended the tour before, it can still be pretty enjoyable to walk in such a nice weather and discover why Chicago's architecture has been ranked among the finest in the world. As well, it is always a good chance to make some new friends who you can share your Chicago experience with. Last year we had a very nice afternoon with students coming from IIT, Northwestern, UIC, and of course U of C.

The tour starts at 12:30pm in IIT MTCC, which is located on 32nd & State. After a brief introduction, there will be buses taking us to downtown, where we will have docents guiding us through those architectures, and in the end coming back to IIT around 5:00~5:30pm. As for those who don't know how to get to IIT MTCC, don't worry, you can go with TSA by CTA.

As the tour has been quite popular, it would be a good idea to get yourself registered as soon as possible. If you're interested in joining this tour, please reply this email before 9/18 with 1)your name, 2)email address, 3)phone number, 4)number of tickets and 5) how you're going to get to IIT (by yourself or with TSA). $7 per person is due before the registration. Your registration is not completed if $7 is not paid. You can give the money in person to Sherry or Me(Vicky). For those who live near Regents, you can contact Sherry; for those who live near the campus, you can contact me (Vicky). The best way to pay would be coming to our Moon Festival Dinner on Sunday night, Sep. 18, which will be announced in my following email.

By the way, the welcome party for incoming student will be held after the architecture tour, which is Saturday night, Oct. 1. Further detail will be announced soon.
