Subject: [Taiwan] Meeting announced this Sunday
Dear members,
The board has decided that a meeting should be announced this Sunday so
that we can vote and decide whether or not I should hold Dr. Pend and
Prof. Mearsheimer's speech under TSA's name.
The reason that we chose to hold a meeting rather than an online vote
is, mainly, most of us feel uncomfortable of deciding the voting list
ourselves. Most of us think that it is better for you to decide whether
or not you would like to cast your vote, not us. We understand that this
would take you some time, but isn't it nice to get together and meet
people too? The meeting will be held this Sunday (April 3), 1:30 PM at
my place. I will provide some tea/coffee/snacks. My place is at 52nd/
greenwood, which is just 10 min walk from campus. Parking around my
apartment is very easy, and we can try to arrange pickups for those who
live far away from my apartment.
Please email me if you should decide to join the meeting so that I can
email you my address. Looking forward for you response and thank you
very much for your support.
Subject: [Taiwan] Result of Meeting this afternoon
Dear members,
I am pleased to announce the result of the meeting this afternoon. There
are 15 people present at the meeting, together with 3 letter of consent
to me. Therefore, there are 18 effective votes in the meeting this
afternoon. The question to the vote is "Do you agree that the lecture of
PMM with Prof. Mearshiemer be hold under TSA's name?" There are 18 votes
for yes, and 0 votes for no. The result of the meeting is that this
lecture will be held under
TSA's name. I will post a writeup of the meeting minutes on the
discussion board later tomorrow. Thank you for everyone who have
expressed their concern to this issue.
